Most rubs announce themselves. This one just works.

You know the routine. A menthol rub that burns for ten minutes, clears a room with its smell, and leaves you greasy. Or a pill you would rather not take for an ache in one shoulder. Kunzea Pain Relief Cream was built as the third option: a cream with real actives, a soft eucalypt scent, and nothing that stings.

What’s inside

75mg per gram of Tasmanian Kunzea oil.

Kunzea ambigua is the botanical Zea was built on, and this cream carries it at 75mg/g, supported by three other natural actives rather than a synthetic heat agent.

The base is doing work too: Macadamia oil, Cocoa butter and Shea butter, which is why it absorbs without leaving a greasy film.

Zea began in 2016 as a family market stall in Tasmania, and this cream is the reason there is a company at all. It is now in more than 3,000 stockists nationally, and we are Australia’s only Certified B Corporation in natural pain relief, donating 1% of all sales to the planet. The formulation has been refined since, but the Kunzea is still the point.

Questions, answered

What is Kunzea Pain Relief Cream used for?

It is a topical anti-inflammatory cream registered with the ARTG as a listed medicine (AUST L 360 331). It is listed to relieve muscle aches, pains and soreness, the symptoms of sprains and strains, mild arthritis, mild joint pain, and mild nerve pain including mild sciatica and neuralgia.

How often should I apply it?

Massage a few grams gently into the affected area 2 to 4 times daily, or as required, rubbing in a circular motion until absorbed. For ongoing aches, consistent daily use gives the best result. External use only, and avoid eye contact and broken skin.

What are the active ingredients?

Tasmanian Kunzea ambigua oil at 75mg/g, with Rosemary leaf extract (5mg/g), Lavender oil (5mg/g) and Vitamin E (10mg/g), in a base including Macadamia oil, Cocoa butter and Shea butter. Free from parabens, synthetic fragrances and petrochemicals.

Does it burn or smell strong?

No. There is no menthol, so there is no heat or sting, and the scent is a soft eucalypt rather than the sharp smell of a traditional rub. It absorbs quickly and is not greasy.

Which size should I choose?

The 50g tube suits occasional use and travel. The 100g is the most popular and the one most people reorder. The 240g and 480g pump bottles are better per gram if you apply it daily or share it around the household.

Can I use it with my medication, or while pregnant?

The cream is applied topically and is not known to interact with oral medications. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take blood thinners, or are managing a diagnosed condition, check with your GP or pharmacist before use.

Are there any allergens?

It contains benzyl alcohol, dehydroacetic acid, soya oil and refined tree nut products. Patch test first if you have known sensitivities, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

How do the pack savings work?
